Below you will find the contents of the XMLDefault.cnf.xml file that is required in order to successfully upgrade (or downgrade) your Cisco 8800 series IP phone firmware. The file contents below is for use with SIP Firmware 11.7(1), it can be used with other firmware versions but you must first replace all instances of "sip88xx.11-7-1-17".

Example: If you want to downgrade your Cisco 8800 series IP phone from 11.7(1) to 11.0(1) then first download the 11.0(1) firmware from here and extract it to your desktop. Open the folder that was created when unzipping the firmware file and look for a file that ends with ".loads", in this instance, it will be named "sip88xx.11-0-1-11.loads". Now rename all instances of "sip88xx.11-7-1-17" located in the XMLDefault.cnf.xml below with "sip88xx.11-0-1-11" and place the file in your TFTP directory along with the required firmware files.
