I know that my Internet is slow but I never though that it's slow like that !! I'm paying about 20$ every month and that's all what I've got as download/upload speed !
Download Speed : 0.66 Mbps
Upload Speed : 0.11 Mbps

I live in Algeria and there is only one company that provides the internet, that's why they don't care about their service at all :/

Speedtest.net is certainly one of the best. I use it on my Windows phone. The biggest drawback using speedtest.net on a desktop computer is the requirement of Adobe Flash. It is shortsighted and slightly backwards thinking of them to continue to use something as insecure and bug addled as Flash. Hopefully they will change to a modern standard over Flash soon as it is becoming deprecated. It wont be long before people that irrationally cling to it wont be able to find any content or a browser that supports it. People in the know that value their security don't use Flash on their devices.

speedtest.net offers a non flash based version which is under beta test. You have to log on to the service and then after running the normal flash test, you will be offered a chance to compare the results against the beta.

Also you can run an HTML5 speed test at http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest which does not require you to log in.

Thanks! I appreciate the link. I had completely forgotten dslreports was out there. I think html 5 is a much better solution and I'm glad to see it being implemented for speed testing.

I agree with you nytegeek! I was using speedtest.net until now. Some friends of mine told me a few years ago that the best service to calculate our internet speed was speedtest.net and I really didn't look for other similar service, but the true is that I find some bugs now and then, I have to refresh it a couple times before it properly works. And my PC is a bit old so it takes some time to load the page. This new service: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest, that gsmlnx told us is much better from what I saw, I will be using it from now on, it's much faster!
