I have used viber on my computer and it is simply great. I use viber not only to make calls but also to send photos. Sending photo via viber is better than sending as mail attachments. However, I don't know about whatsapp. I don't know whether it is available on computer or not. In fact I have never used whatsapp even on my phone. I have account on whatsapp but I have never used it.

Yes, you can use Whatsapp in your computer with the help of an Android Emulator application and the most popular one is Bluestacks. But there are a number of other applications too. You have to first download Bluestacks on your computer and follow the guidelines. Please note that you cannot run the same Whatsapp account on both PC and mobile at the same time.
