If it's about VoIP, SIP or Internet Telephony but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, post it here.

WooHoo! The OBi1062 was finally made available to us UK customers via amazon.co.uk on the 14 January 2017 and is currently retailing at £149 (marked down from £249), eligible for FREE UK delivery and yea you guessed right, I purchased one!

It turns out that there are only two main differences between the OBi1032 unboxing I posted here back in September 2014 and those are:
  1. The OBi1062 box came sealed.
  2. A UK Power Supply was included with the OBi1062.

Upon closer inspection, I did notice that the seal had been broken and a new seal put in place. First thing that goes through my mind when I see this is oh no, a return being sold as new? Thankfully this was not a return, OBIHAI had clearly opened the box to place a UK Power Supply inside. I for one don't need one, I use power over Ethernet (POE) and would rather OBIHAI sold the UK Power Supply separately and reduce the overall price of the phone.

I can also tell you that the OBi1062 IP phone I purchased came with firmware version 5.0.0 (Build: 3131.1311) and although dialling " * * * 6 " promptly updated my OBi1062 to 5.0.4 (Build: 4003EX.1311) it didn't update the phone to the latest firmware which at the time of this unboxing is 5.0.4 (Build: 4027.1311). Any further dialling of " * * * 6 " results in "Software update not available" being played back to me. :(

Anyway, check out the rest of my unboxing photos below:
