If it's about VoIP, SIP or Internet Telephony but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, post it here.

Hi,

I'm new to VOIP, so I have a couple of questions which may in turn end up being more over the coming weeks.

My question is I have an 01732 number with BT, can this be brought with me if/when I decide to change to using VOIP instead.

I would also require a fax number is this possible as well.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can port your number over to VoIP, I recommend you make sure the VoIP provider you choose is an ITSPA member.

Take note you'll loose the line that the the number is linked to, so don't port it if you use the line for broadband. Not sure if BT will allow renumbering and porting of previous numbers. You might have to port and then have another line connected (which knowing BT will cost you £125 +VAT)

Hello Paul, Thank you for your response. Much app…

If you're experiencing issues making outgoing call…

Just leave all the files in the TFTP directory and…

VoIP on the move via wifi

Great! I have been looking for a similar solution.…
