If it's about VoIP, SIP or Internet Telephony but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, post it here.

I hope that is enough! Wish you the best luck with that :) Unfortunately nowadays of someone really wants to hack something they can somewhat easily (well not easily, but with some google searches I think anyone can find ways of hacking home networks)...

No, I have never been hacked. I change my passwords in between and clear cookies at regular intervals.

I still remember, one day there was a mail from my bank's mail id asking me to verify some personal data. That time I was not so educated about internet usage and the threats hidden there. So, I was about to key in the data. But I felt something fishy about the site address. First of all the address did not start with https, it was http there. Then I also realized that there are some alphabets missing in the address. it was in fact a phishing site to steal information. :-o

I reported this back to bank. They confirmed it and assured me that they will take it up with concerned authority. :)

Not that I know of. I would honestly cry if someone did. That's messed up, and it's pretty creepy. Just knowing someone is lurking in your network. Who knows what information they can get. If your network has been hacked, don't just change the password. I would buy a new router. Just to be on the safe side you know? Not everyday do you get someone who hacks your network.

Well, changing router might not solve the problem unfortunately, if the person that hacked your internet really wants to hack it again no matter what router and internet provider you are using he will be able to hack it again :S But don't be afraid because this is not no near frequent and there must be a specific reason for specific persons hack some specific persons internet!
