Moving your phone from one work area to another can be as simple as unplugging the phone’s Ethernet cable from the wall jack and plugging it into another wall jack that is working on the same LAN. If your VoIP is powered via Power Over Ethernet (POE), make sure the jack at the new location supports POE. If not, you will need to use an external AC power adapter to power the phone. Be sure the correct supply is used.
Keep in mind the phone must reboot when reconnected and could take a few seconds to a few minutes.
