I'm moving to the US, and I'd like my current UK mobile phone number (with Three, though I’ve transferred it to them from another provider previously) to keep working. Is it possible to transfer that number to а VoIP service that can than forward any calls in to а US mobile phone number?

Unfortunately you can't port a number designated as being for mobile use to a non-mobile provider.

Switch to pay and go and maybe take advantage of Three's feel at home service: http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/ ... _Home#dest
