Most of us use a simple Linksys or Netgear for our home internet but I'm curious as to how many of you use a mmore expensive Cisco router. If so, how is it compared to a low end router?

Personally I dropped Cisco some time ago. Their equiptment isn't what it once was!

Saying that though they have revived the Linksys brand and have come up with this bad boy:

Like the look, spec looks good too but are they just trying to make a buck by passing off their usual crap using the reputation of the former linksys brand? Im not willing to spend £200 to find out!

What do you mean exactly? Did you have issues with their products or was it simply not worth the money?

Bit of both, hardware was pretty poor quality, over heating, poor WiFi signal and buggy firmware to name a few things.

Maybe they have improved, maybe not either way I am happy with my ASUS AC68U for now. Cisco routers don't appear to be that popular any more and I wonder if that's the reason for the resurrection of the Linksys router above?
