Below is a simple UK dial plan I came up with for use with the Grandstream HT813 ATA.

IMPORTANT: The HT813 features a FXS and FXO port and is capable of making and receiving calls via a PSTN line and VoIP. This dial plan supports calls routed via both FXS and FXO ports and using it on another other Grandstream device might prevent calls to the emergency services being made. You've been warned!

Grandstream HT813 UK Dial Plan:
Code: Select all
{ L: 10[01] | L: 11[12] | L: 195 | L: 999 | L: 147[457-9] | L: 17070 | 155 | 116xxx | 116111 | 116123 | 118xxx | 1471 | 157[1-2] | 08001111 | 0845464x | 0[1235789]xxxxxxxxx | 00xxx. | x+ | \+x+ | *x+ | *xx*x+ }
The following numbers route via the PSTN line:
  • 100 - Operator
  • 101 - Non-emergency number for the police
  • 111 - Non-emergency medical number
  • 112 - Emergency services
  • 195 - A free directory enquiries service if you are blind or partially sighted
  • 999 - Emergency services
  • 1474 - Return a call without hearing the last call ID announcement
  • 1475 - 1471 Erasure (1475) - Hiding the last number (Virgin Media)
  • 1477 - Tracing a call
  • 1478 - Set Anonymous Call Rejection (Virgin/Telewest Franchises)
  • 1479 - Cancel Anonymous Call Rejection (Virgin/Telewest Franchises)
  • 17070 - BT's line test facility
All other calls will route via your VoIP provider. However, If you want one of the above numbers to route via your VoIP provider instead of your PSTN line, read on...

There is no one case fits all scenario when it comes to dial plans. Some people want emergency calls routed via their VoIP provider and not their PSTN line. Whatever your reasons, if you want emergency calls placed over your VoIP provider, use the following dial plan.

Grandstream HT813 UK Dial Plan - Emergency services routed over VoIP:
Code: Select all
{ L: 10[01]  |  L: 111  |  L: 195  |  L: 147[457-9]  |  L: 17070  | 112 | 155 | 999 | 116xxx | 116111 | 116123 | 118xxx | 1471 | 157[1-2] | 08001111 | 0845464x | 0[1235789]xxxxxxxxx | 00xxx. | x+ | \+x+ | *x+ | *xx*x+ }
With this dial plan syntax, the following numbers route via the PSTN line:
  • 100 - Operator
  • 101 - Non-emergency number for the police
  • 111 - Non-emergency medical number
  • 195 - A free directory enquiries service if you are blind or partially sighted

EXAMPLE: Want calls to Non-emergency number for the police routed via VoIP? Find "L: 101" in the above dial plan and replace with "101".
