No, don't alter those settings.

If the phone isn't pulling the files then either your antivirus/firewall is blocking it or you haven't configured the phone correctly. Did you try as per the youtube video I posted above?

@Dreampro you don't need to alter any other settings in Pumpkin.

Install as follows:

1. Install Pumpkin.
2. Create a folder in "C:\" drive named "firmware".
3. Run Pumpkin for the first time and a "Windows Firewall" notice should appear. Make sure that you allow Pumpkin access!
4. Click on the "Options" button in Pumpkin and under the "TFTP filesystem root (download path)" option select the "firmware" folder you created in step 2 above and press "OK".

That is it! Pumpkin is installed and ready to push files.

If you're having issues and not sure if Pumpkin is working then you can use another computer on the same network to test it. Simply create an empty text based test file using notepad (e.g. test.txt) and place it in the "firmware" folder you created in step 2 above.

Now, on the the computer you want to run the test from, enter the following two commands at the command prompt:

1. tftp
2. get 192.168.0.1:test.txt

Obviously replace 192.168.0.5 with the IP of the machine running Pumpkin.

Pumpkin will send the test.txt to the computer you're running the test from:

If it's not working for you then your firewall is preventing access and you need to fix that.
Once confirmed that Pumpkin is working, your Cisco 7821 should pull the firmware files from the "firmware" folder you created in step 2 (providingthe phone was configured correctly of course).

Your posts are not helpful. You still haven't told us if you followed the instructions as shown in the Youtube video posted earlier in the thread?

The .tlv file is only required when upgrading the phone via Cisco's Communication Manager and @WelshPaul has already confirmed that the .tlv file isn't needed and that the error can safely be ignored. That is confirmed here: https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telep ... -p/3176181

All you really need to force a firmware update on the phone are the following files:

• XMLDefault.cnf.xml
• sip78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.loads
• sboot78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn
• sboot2.78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn
• rootfs78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn
• rootfs2.78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn
• kern2.78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn
• kern78xx.12-8-1-0001-455.sbn

You need to make sure that the XMLDefault.cnf.xml calls the required loads file!

yes I have fallowed the instructions as shown in the YouTube video.(you can just ask, I didn't know you want confirm. I also fallowed the instruction on the pictures that show the settings on the phone it self, just in case you need clarification on that as well )
I didn't mean the .tlv file it is request another files not just the .tlv.
All you really need to force a firmware update on the phone are the following files:

Maybe try renaming this part of the files 12-8-1-0001-455 to 12-8-1 and use the following XMLDefault.cnf.xml:

Out of interest, what other files is it trying to pull from the TFTP server?
