Scouring the web for the correct settings and applying them manually via the phones built in GUI is not only time-consuming but frustrating too so I have put together a configuration file based on the latest SIP firmware (7.6.2f) that has all the latest UK regional settings (Dial Plans, Call Progress Tones, Distinctive Ring Patterns etc) for the Cisco SPA5xx series IP phones.

By default all Cisco SPA5xx series IP phones do not have a default administration password set and so all you need to do to configure your phone with the latest UK regional settings is to enter the following URL into your web browser:

Set an administration password? Use this URL instead:

A configuration file will be uploaded to your SPA5xx series IP phone and it will reboot when not in use. Once rebooted it will be correctly configured with all the necessary UK regional settings and UK Dial Plan. 👍

Note: Replace "0.0.0.0" with the IP address of your SPA5xx IP phone and replace "mypassword" with the SPA5xx IP phones administrator password if set.
