I am trying to convert an openstage 40 phone with HFA firmware to SIP firmware.

I am struggling to do the update.

I can see that depending on the installed firmware I might need to go to V2 before going to V3.

So how do I check the firmware version - either via the Web GUI or on the phone?

As you have concluded, one needs to figure out what software version the phone is running and upgrade in stages to the final release.
Try looking at the following web GUI page: Administrator Pages > General information.

Are you unable to flash V2 R2.48.0? If so, what error are you seeing and what version(s) have you tried to flash thus far?

Apologies I do not have an answer but could you please tell me how to start a question about getting alarms to communicate with their control room where you have VoIP not a traditional landline . Many thanks. Craib
